AROMATHERAPY PRACTITIONER

Over 30 Years of Experience

A Lifelong Love of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has been part of my life for over 30 years. As a certified Aromatherapist and lifelong learner, I have continued to explore the many ways essential oils can support our physical, emotional and everyday well-being.

Over the years, my love of essential oils naturally grew into The Aromatherapy Nook — a place where I can combine my experience, creativity and love of beautiful aromas to create thoughtfully crafted synergy blends and aromatherapy products.

For me, aromatherapy is about more than something that simply smells wonderful. Each blend is created with intention — bringing together essential oils that complement one another while offering their own unique aromatic qualities and benefits.

My approach is thoughtful and individualized, drawing on the unique properties and aromas of essential oils and botanicals to promote relaxation, balance and emotional wellness.

Whether incorporated into a wellness session or enjoyed through my handcrafted aromatherapy creations, each blend is created with care and intention to enhance your everyday well-being.

WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY?

Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils and other aromatic plant materials. Essential oils are concentrated, volatile compounds extracted from plants and may be obtained from flowers, leaves, peels, woods, roots, seeds and resins.

Essential oils are most commonly obtained through steam distillation or cold expression, depending on the plant material. Citrus oils, for example, are commonly expressed from the peel, while many other essential oils are obtained through steam distillation.

Essential oils may be used aromatically through methods such as diffusion and direct inhalation. They may also be incorporated into topical preparations when appropriately diluted in a carrier oil or other suitable base.

Each essential oil contains a complex mixture of naturally occurring chemical constituents. Its particular composition determines characteristics such as its aroma, volatility and physical properties. The chemical composition of an essential oil can vary according to the plant species, growing conditions, geographical origin, harvesting and extraction method.

The Art of Blending

Creating a blend is about more than combining essential oils that smell beautiful together. Each essential oil has its own unique properties, aroma and character. When carefully selected and blended, the oils work in harmony, creating something greater than the sum of their parts.

Bringing Aromatherapy into Everyday Life

Aromatherapy doesn’t have to be complicated. A familiar aroma can become part of a morning routine, create a peaceful atmosphere at the end of the day, freshen a room or simply provide a moment to pause and reconnect.

I love helping people discover ways to bring aromatherapy naturally into their everyday lives. Through The Aromatherapy Nook, I combine my knowledge of essential oils with creativity and intention, offering different ways to experience the beauty of aromatherapy.
